Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Saturday sent a cable to President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi condoling with him over the death of dozens of army servicemen in Friday's attack in North Sinai.
Abbas strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted Egyptian troops in Sheikh Zuwaid near the border with the Gaza Strip.
He said he is confident Egypt would eventually uproot terrorism and continue its pioneering role in leading the Arab nation.
Abbas also extended condolences to the families of the martyrs and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
