Eight supporters of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group were arrested in Beheira province, northern Egypt, on Thursday over provoking riots.
The arrested were wanted over instigating violence, and prodding people for staging non-peaceful protests.
In December, an Egyptian court labelled the Muslim Brotherhood group as a terrorist organization, blaming it for a string of attacks in the country and banning all its activities nationwide.
