Minya - MENA
Eight wanted people were arrested Wednesday in the Upper Egypt governorate of Minya over charges of provoking riots.
The arrestees were nabbed during a security crackdown in the governorate.
They were wanted over instigating violence, storming police stations, disrupting transportation and other cases after dispersing the pro-deposed president Mohamed Morsi's sit-in in the Rabaa el-Adaweya and Nahda squares in August 2013.
The crackdown also seized a number of pistols, machine guns, rifles, and ammunition.
