A booby-trapped car exploded at an Iraqi army checkpoint near Baghdad on Monday, killing seven and wounding 25 others.
A number of army volunteers were gathering at the checkpoint at the time of the explosion.
The blast comes days after the army started a security operation to regain control over two Anbar cities, now seized by Daesh militants.
