Suez - MENA
Five supporters of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group were arrested Saturday in the Red Sea canal city of Suez over implicating in targeting security forces in the city, a security source said.
The arrestees formed a terrorist cell, dubbed the public resistance cell, which targeted security personnel, set fire to and damaged public institutions, the source added.
They were arrested upon the prosecution's warrant, he added.
In December, an Egyptian court labelled the Muslim Brotherhood group as a terrorist organization, blaming it for a string of attacks in the country and banning all its activities nationwide.
