As many as 200 towns in the Iraqi province of Anbar have been besieged by the al-Qaeda splinter group of Daesh for five days now, said a well-placed official Friday.
Daesh has imposed a genocidal blockade on 200 Euphrates River-adjacent towns, the official added.
The besieged towns are inhabited by a number of Sunni tribes, he noted.
