Two homemade explosive devices went off on Saturday in two railway stations in Sharqia province, a security source said.
No causalities took place, the source added.
A third charge was defused by the sappers who rushed to the scene and swept the surrounding areas.
The railway traffic was suspended until the sappers made sure that the scene was free of other explosives.
