Lebanon army

As many as 16 Syrians suspected of carrying out assaults on army members and committing security violations were arrested in Akkar on Thursday, the National News Agency reported.
Army units deployed in the region of Akkar, northern Lebanon, carried out raids in the area and made the arrests, the army said in a statement.
Two of the arrested persons were found to possess arms, ammunition and military materiel.
The arrested Syrians were handed over, along with their seized items, to the competent authorities, the statement added.
