Military spokesman Mohamed Samir said Friday that 12 terrorists, including dangerous terrorist Mohamed Salman Abu Sheta, were killed during security campaigns during the past five days.
As many as 68 terrorists were arrested during the campaign, the spokesman said in a statement.
The spokesman said that the army and police joint squads continue efforts to face terror and criminal acts.
Seventeen cars and 49 motorcycles without plates were destroyed during the raids.
