At least twelve people were injured in an explosion that hit el-Isaaf Square in downtown Cairo on Tuesday, while nobody was killed, Head of Emergency Department at Health Ministry Mohamed Sultan said.
All the injured were rushed to nearby El Helal hospital, he said, adding that no deaths were reported.
Hospitals are on the highest alert to provide urgent services, he told MENA.
Earlier, the explosives experts were deployed to Al Isaaf Square near Gamal Abdel Nasser Metro station after the blast hit the place.
