Security forces have recently arrested 11 people affiliated with the terrorist "Islamic State" organization while they were plotting to target key locations in the Kingdom.
The group confessed of cooperating with the organization's leaders in Syria and that they were assigned to carry out terrorist operations on Jordanian soil targeting a number of vital interests in order to spread terror among the population and stir up chaos in the Kingdom, in preparation for future schemes the organization intends to execute in the country.
A senior security source said that a house of one of the members of the terrorist group, who lives in a town in the north of the Kingdom, exploded during the process of manufacturing explosives.
The source added the group is in custody until now and investigations are still ongoing.
