Huthi shelling of residential area in Taiz, up to 5 killed, 9 injured

The number of casualties from the random shelling of Houthi militants of residential areas in Taiz City rose to five killed and nine injured, most of them children in critical conditions.

The Yemeni news agency quoted local sources as saying that the shelling in Taiz was the most brutal and bloody as several children were among the injured. They suffered amputations due to severe wounds.

Meanwhile, Media Center of the Military Council in Taiz said clashes have been going on between Houthi militants and elements of the popular resistance.

At least eight militants were killed and 17 others injured during the clashes, according to the media center.

Earlier in the day, Arab coalition warplanes continued their shelling of Houthi positions in Sanaa.
