Big blast rocks Kabul

A big blast rocked the western part of Kabul city on Wednesday, causing panic among the locals, a local said.
Meantime, an official on the condition of anonymity said that the blast was caused by government gunshots to mark the "Kabul Birth" Day festival.
Three gunshots were heard at noon in the western neighborhood of Gazargah area of Kabul city Wednesday, the official said. The war-weary Afghans often get concerned and cautious when they hear a bang or gun shots.
A bomb blast also in the western part of Kabul city claimed two lives and injured three others a day earlier on Tuesday.
