The government approved in its weekly meeting on Tuesday a bunch of measures to solve the water and sanitation problems in Hodeida province. Chaired by Prime Minister Mohamed Salem Basindwa, the cabinet instructed the Ministries of Finance and Planning and International Cooperation to look for funds required to finance the implementation of the projects presented by the Water and Environment Ministry for the rehabilitation of the water and sanitation system in Hodeida. The measures included and needed and urgent actions to rehabilitate the water and sanitation system in the city, and the find far-reaching solutions to the existing water and sanitation problems in Hodeida. The cabinet reviewed the President\'s directives pertaining to the urgent needs of Sa\'ada province in various areas of infrastructure, development and reconstruction. It ordered all ministers to take the necessary actions to provide Sa\'ada with the urgent necessary needs during 2013-2015. It charged Minister of State and member of the cabinet Hassan Sharaf al-Din and Sa\'ada governor to coordinate with the ministries to determine the needs and the implementation timeframe. On the other hand, the cabinet approved a grant agreement signed on 23 May between Yemen and the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED). The grant amounts to $50 million to finance a reconstruction program of the areas affected by the last events. Moreover, the cabinet approved the formation of the Yemeni-Russian Committee of joint economic, scientific, technical and commercial cooperation chaired by the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation.
