Minister of Human Rights Horyiah Mashhor headed on Monday to Switzerland to partake in the 24th session of the UN Commission on Human Rights (UNCHR)to be held in Geneva during September 24-25. The minister explained to Saba that the UNCHR’s 2th session will review the fourth report of the High Commissioner of Human Rights on the human rights situation in Yemen. Mashhor noted that the report pointed to the progress made by Yemen with regard to the national dialogue, and the government\'s approval to establish an independent body for human rights and to join the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. She noted that the report contained some of the challenges still facing Yemen in human rights and violations of journalists, women and children, as well as Yemen\'s role in the initialization for the Yemeni Observatory for the Rights of the Child.
