The US Tuesday reiterated opposition \"to all politicized arrests\" in Egypt, saying the Egyptian government has a \"responsibility to protect all Egyptians. \"As we have consistently said, we are opposed to all politicized arrests and detention,\" State Department Spokesperson Jennifer Psaki told reporters. She added that the US remains \"focused on encouraging the interim government to move forward on an inclusive process that brings representatives from all sides into the process.\" She reiterated that \"the Egyptian government has a responsibility to protect all Egyptians and create an atmosphere that supports the process of political transition that is inclusive and has maximum participation from the Egyptian people.\" Egyptian authorities arrested today the main spokesman of the Muslim Brotherhood Jehad Al-Haddad, who is being held on \"suspicion of incitement to violence.\"
