U.S. President Barack Obama and French President Francois Hollande held a telephone call on the use of chemical weapons on a suburb of Damascus on August 2, the White House said in a statement. The two leaders agreed that the international community cannot tolerate the use of chemicals weapons and must hold the Syrian regime accountable and send a strong message that the use of chemical weapons is not acceptable, added the statement.
