The United States condemned \"in the strongest terms\" a deadly attack near the Indian consulate in Afghanistan. \"We extend our deepest condolences to the families of those killed in this senseless attack. Despite today\'s attack, we remain committed to working with our Afghan, Indian, and other international partners to build a secure and prosperous Afghanistan free from senseless violence.\" State Departmetn spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in a statement late Saturday. Three suicide attackers killed at least nine civilians, most of them children, in eastern Afghanistan near the border with Pakistan.
