US Ambassador in Ankara Francis Ricciardone said his country believes that Turkey will advance its democracy. Ricciardone was accepted by Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek and replied to reporters\' questions following the meeting that lasted slightly longer than an hour. US Ambassador said they covered many issues during the meeting with Cicek and on a question about the recently unveiled reforms by Turkish government said that the discussions in Turkey are being followed by Turkey’s democratic friends across the world with a great attention and respect. Ricciardone then returned the closely located US Embassy on foot.
