United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon expressed Monday his regret regarding violence breaking out in Egypt in the past couple of days. He called on all parties involved to exercise restraint. UN Secretary-General Spokesman Martin Nesirky said that the Secretary-General has expressed his alarm earlier, when announcement came from Egypt that there will be rallies on October 6. Nesirky said that Moon was shocked at the level of violence seen in Egypt. He stressed on the citizens\' universal rights to freedom of speech, expression and assembly. He also called on all parties involved in the struggle in Egypt to put an end to the violence. More than 50 people were killed in clashes across Egypt during what was meant to be a celebration of the October 6 war 40th anniversary.
