United Nations Undersecretary General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman, during his visit to the country on Monday will discuss regional developments with senior Iranian officials, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Abbas Araqchi announced. Araqchi told Fars News agency, \"Feltman is slated to hold talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his deputy for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian,\" reiterating that the UN undersecretary general will discuss developments in Syria, Egypt, Lebanon and Palestine with senior Iranian officials during his stay in Tehran. Araqchi noted that this is Feltman\'s second visit to Iran, as in 2012 he accompanied UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon to the 16th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Tehran.
