UN Secretary-General Ban Ki- moon on Monday said that he is quite concerned about growing tensions and escalating rhetoric between Sudan and South Sudan, according to a statement released here by his spokesman, Martin Nesirky. \"The secretary-general expresses deep concern over the escalation of rhetoric between the government of Sudan and the government of South Sudan, particularly in regard to cross border support of rebel groups and incursions into one another\'s territory,\" the statement said. Tensions have grown between Sudan and the recently independent nation of South Sudan. The two have a history of conflict -- the north and south fought a decades-long war that ended with a Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) signed in 2005. Ban condemned the alleged activities of both Sudan and South Sudan in his statement.
