UN leader Ban Ki-moon arrived on Wednesday in Libya for a surprise visit to hold talks with the transitional leaders who ousted Moamer Kadhafi, the UN said. Ban will spend one day in Tripoli to meet top officials in the National Transitional Council and representatives of civic groups, said UN spokesman Martin Nesirky. The visit had not been previously announced for security reasons. Ban is on his way to the Group of 20 economic powers summit in Cannes, France, where Libya will be on the agenda.
