British Foreign Secretary William Hague considered Damascus\' prevention of humanitarian aid entry for civilians evidence of the carelessness of Assad\'s regime. In an interview with British TV channel (Sky News), Hague added that rejecting aid in addition to killings, torture, and repression in Syria indicate that the regime is continuing with the violent bloodshed. The International Red Cross has not been able to enter Baba Amr in Homs. Syrian authorities stated security reasons particularly the presence of bombs and mines on the roads.
