Britain has condemned the Cairo bomb attack apparently targeting Egyptian Interior Minister Mohammed Ibrahim. In a Tweet on his account, Britain\'s Foreign Office Minister who is responsible for the Mideast, Alistair Burt, said violence cannot offer a way forward. \"My sympathies to those injured.\" He said. Reports said a powerful bomb blasted through a convoy of cars carrying the interior minister along a residential street yesterday raising fears of a turn toward terrorist violence. The minister escaped, and so did his would-be assassins. But the explosion killed at least one police officer, injured 10 others and wounded at least 11 civilians, according to an official statement from the Interior Ministry. Meanwhile, the Foreign Office told KUNA: \"We are aware of the hospitalisation of a British national in Cairo yesterday following the incident.\" A spokeswoman for the Office said they were providing Consular assistance to the female British national who has not been named as of yet.
