William Burns arrived in Cairo last night on a two-day visit to Egypt. Earlier Tuesday , Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi met with former US President Jimmy Carter and reviewed the democratic transition process and the state institutions building in Egypt after the parliamentary elections which ended recently and the transitional phase until transferring power to a civilian president.
