The Syrian Embassy in Australia has been attacked, the latest strike in a series on Syrian embassies and consulates allover the world. A group of up to 40 men stormed the embassy in the southern Canberra suburb of O''Malley last night and destroyed its interiors on the ground floor. "We are obviously concerned about it and three staff members from the embassy were present when the men forced entry. However, no-one was injured," said Superintendent Mick Calatzis, adding that staff hid in the basement during the events. Investigation is underway, but no arrests have been made so far. It has not been determined whether this was an organized attack. Syrian embassies in Cairo, London, Berlin, Kuwait, and the Syrian Consulate in Turkey among others have all come under attack from protesters in recent days.
