South Korea plans to develop a new satellite-based navigation system that will significantly reduce the margin of error and enhance the safety of public transportation, including airline services, the government said Tuesday. The country will begin developing what is known as a satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) from next year for completion by 2018, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
