Central African government soldiers battled Friday to retake the central rebel-held city of Bambari, a military official said. \"Elements of the Central African Armed Forces attacked Bambari to try to retake it,\" the official said, adding: \"The fighting was especially violent. We don\'t know yet who is controlling the city.\"
