Candidate of \"United Rus\" or United Russian Federation political party Sergei Sobyanin won the Moscow mayoral elections of 2013 claiming 51.15 percent of total votes.
Candidate of the Republican Party of Russia - People\'s Freedom Party (RPR-Parnas) Alexei Navalny gained a remarkable success by hitting 27.39 percent, followed by first deputy head of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (CPRF) Ivan Melnikov with 10.71 percent.
The central elections committee announced the wining of the ruling party candidate Andrei Vorobyov in Moscow\'s regional elections by 80 percent, followed by the CPRE candidate with 7.48 percent.
The election\'s results showed that United Rus\'s candidate ranked the first in most of the Russian regional elections, which reflects the citizen\'s content towards the political approach adapted by the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, analysts believe.
Opposition\'s candidate Alexei Navalny, getting a high percentage of votes is an indication that Russian voters welcome the infusion of new blood in the political arena, observers said.
CPRF kept its electoral position and also expanded its electoral base by ranking the second in almost all Russian regions, Observers added.
