Slovenia said on Thursday that Syrian authorities must allow UN inspectors to do a thorough investigation into an alleged chemical weapons attack in a suburb of the Syrian capital of Damascus. UN inspectors stationed in Syria must be allowed immediately to have full access to the area in question and to get all required information about the attack, the Slovenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. Syrian rebels accused the Syrian government of using the chemical weapons on Wednesday in the east suburbs of Damascus, claiming that as many as 1,300 people were killed in chemical weapons attacks. The Syrian government denied the accusations.
