H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued Decree No. 34/2016 setting up a council for the Al Khalidiya Suburb of Sharjah City.

According to the decree, the appointed members of the council elect a chair and vice-chair at their first meeting.

The members serve on the council for a four-year term, starting from the date of the first meeting.

The decree is of immediate effect and will be published in the official gazette.
