Pakistani authorities have taken strict security measures in the city of Peshawar, capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in northwestern Pakistan today, in anticipation of any attacks during Friday prayers in the city. Security sources reported that it had deployed additional troops of police outside large mosques, sensitive areas and crowded places in Peshawar, explaining that security forces, stationed in the city outlets, tightened measures of vehicle inspection while some main streets were closed.
