Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF) has said that the role of the newly SCAF appointed advisory council will end as soon as a presidential vote finishes. SCAF emphasized that the advisory council role is only advisory in order to maintain communication between SCAF and political forces according to the council appointment decision. SCAF highlighted in a statement today the advisory nature of the council where it does not replace the parliament or any other elected bodies and that its role will end with the presidential elections. SCAF reiterated its commitment to holding free and transparent elections and respecting its outcome that reflects the political will of the Egyptian people, which would help the parliament members carry out their legislative and regulatory duties.
