Saudi Arabia reiterated here on Monday its call on the world community to shoulder its responsibility to safeguard the Syrians and end the criminal acts they are encountering. The Cabinet was briefed on a series of reports on the development of events in the region and the world. The Cabinet followed up international efforts and measures aimed to deter the Syrian regime from committing more non-humanitarian practices against the Syrian people, renewing the Kingdom\'s firm positions toward this crisis and its calls on the international community to fulfill its humanitarian responsibilities to save the Syrian people and end their sufferings of the criminal acts, collective genocide, serious violations, and the insistence of the Syrian regime to increase the killing of its people with all kinds of weapons. The Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, stressed that among the most important reasons for instability in the Middle East are the continued Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories, the rejection of the Israeli authorities of all international initiatives and resolutions and their insistence to aggravate the situation through many inhumane practices against the Palestinian people. Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) after the session that the Cabinet condemned in this regard Israeli acts of aggression on worshipers at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque after Friday prayers, the ongoing storming of the Mosque, and continuing building of settlements to wipe out the hopes in the establishment of a Palestinian State in which the Palestinian people enjoy a decent life.
