The body of a Saudi embassy official who was shot dead near his house at Gulshan in the capital two days ago will be flown back home in the evening Thursday. Sources at the mortuary of Dhaka Medical College mortuary, where the body has been kept, said a legal adviser of the Saudi embassy received the body of Khalaf Al Ali form there around 2:00pm and took it to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Al Ali, a Saudi national who had been working at the embassy for about two years, was shot dead some 30 yards off his house on Road No 120 in Gulshan early Tuesday. Ali’s body, which has been kept at the mortuary of Dhaka Medical College, will be taken back to his country in a special aircraft from Saudi Arabia. The aircraft is scheduled to take off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7:00pm. Prior to it, a namaz-e-janeza will be held at the taxi stand of the airport around 5:00pm.
