Saudi Arabia advised its citizens who wish to travel to Brazil this summer to exercise caution.
The ministry of interior has stressed the need of citizens to be vigilant especially at high crime areas in the country.
The ministry also warned citizens to take necessary precautions regarding the Zika virus, as Brazil is one of the countries hit hardest.
Many people infected with the Zika virus do not get sick. Of those with symptoms sickness is usually mild.
The Olympics games are being held in Rio this month and some Saudis are expected to attend.
