Kuwait\'s Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah said Monday that the government is \"eager to implement an ambitious youth empowerment strategy\" it had earlier prepared. In a meeting with the new line-up of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports (PAYS) Board, Sheikh Salman added that supporting and catering for youth is a top priority for Kuwait\'s political leadership. The minister expressed appreciation of the role played by former PAYS Board and congratulated its new members. He expressed hope PAYS would continue its great contribution to the National Youth Project. Sheikh Salman stated that the National Youth Project, since its inception, has exerted strenuous efforts in cooperation with government and non-government organizations to materialize HH the Amir\'s youth-supporting initative. The youth project aims to encourage communication between the political leadership and youth groups, develop youth participation on social issues like national unity, democracy, freedom of expression, decision-making, economic development and plans to tackle radacalism, fanatasism and tribal division. These will aim to unleash their ambitions and aspirations and develop ways to enhance them, identify their concerns and challenges and prepare promising future youth leaders.
