Moscow - RT
President Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday signed a decree on the early termination of the power of the Primorye Region governor. Sergey Darkin resigned voluntarily, the Kremlin press service said. Darkin has been governor since 2001, and often found himself at the center of corruption scandals. Late last year during a live television session a businessman from Vladivostok, the regional capital, told Prime Minister Vladimir Putin that local officials were enriching themselves at the expense of business people.
