A round of official talks kicked off here on Wednesday between the State of Qatar and Japan. During the talks, co-headed by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani and  Japanese premier Shinzo Abe, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and means of bolstering them in all fields. A set of other regional and international issues of mutual concern was also discussed. A number of Their Excellencies the ministers attended the talks. The members of the delegation accompnaying the Japanese Prime Minister also attended the talks. HE the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani and  Japanese premier Shinzo Abe witnessed the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Qatar Petroleum (QP) and  Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporatio (JOGMEC) , another MoU between QP and Chiyoda Corporation in training field and a third one on dialogue policy between Qatar\'s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its Japanese counterpart. HE Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani then hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Japanese distinguished guest and his accompanying delegation.   The Japanese premier and his accompanying delegation arrived at the Emiri Diwan earlier today and were welcomed by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior and a red-carpet welcome ceremony was accorded to them. Premier Abe arrived in Doha earlier Tuesday evening on a two-day official visit to Qatar.
