Qatar, Australia sign agreement

Qatari Foreign Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani today received his foreign Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop. Qatar News Agency (QNA) said that the meeting focused on bilateral relations and ways of enhancing joint ties, especially promoting economic and investment cooperation and increasing trade exchange between the two countries.


The two sides also discussed the current situation in Syria and Iraq, and a number of regional and international issues of common concern. An air service agreement and open skies between the two countries to operate a number of passenger and cargo flights with full traffic rights was also signed.
