The President of the Republic, Salva Kiir, and the accompanying delegation Monday afternoon concluded a one-day visit to Khartoum and were seen off at Khartoum Airport by the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, along with a number of ministers, senior officials and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Sudan. President Salva Kiir arrived in Khartoum Monday morning at the invitation of President Al-Bashir, and held official talks on the pending and the bilateral relations in the fields of oil, border, trade, finance, foreign relations and security. The two sides were co-headed by Presidents Al-Bashir and Salva Kiir. The ministers of Sudan and South Sudan held a series of meetings and signed a number of agreements in the fields of trade and diplomacy. A joint communiqué was issued by the end of the visit of Salva Kiir and the accompanying delegation. The joint communiqué included the commitment of the two sides to the implementation of the cooperation agreements matrix and affirmation of their commitment to removing all the impediments facing enhancement of the bilateral relations and good neighborliness as well as boosting the bilateral relations between Sudan and South Sudan for the interest of the two countries.
