The People\'s Progressive Party (PPP) will not pressure Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to give the party seats to contest at 13th general election. Its president Datuk Seri M. Kayveas said this is because PPP put victory as a priority to help Barisan Nasional (BN) win with flying colours. \"We will only contest if 100 percent confident of winning and not to show off the many seats. \"If voters are not ready, then we will not ask even for one seat,\" he told Bernama after opening Kedah PPP Pongal festival 2012 at Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, Kampung Tupah, Bedong, yesterday. However, Kayveas is convinced that Najib who is also BN chairman will give PPP more than one parliamentary seat and one state seat to contest just like at the last general election. \"I have submitted a list of parliamentary and state seats to the BN chairman and will announce them when the time comes.\" Kayveas said PPP has registered over 100,000 new voters last year while its registered members has exceeded half a million. It has lined-up several programmes to get new voters vote BN and will focus on \'Mission 510\' where each branch is expected to rope in 510 new members. The celebration was attended by Merbok Umno division chief Datuk Tajul Urus Mohd Zain and leaders of BN component parties MCA, MIC and Gerakan.
