Police emptied the George Washington University library Monday night during their search for a possible gunman, a school spokeswoman said. No armed person was found during the initial search of the area around the campus, which began about 9:30 a.m. after police received a report of a suspicious person was possibly headed toward campus from the White House area, GWU spokeswoman Candace Smith said. The Washington Post reported the busy library was evacuated about 11 p.m. after a student reported seeing someone changing clothes at the library.
