South African police on Friday said they have arrested the driver of a truck that crashed into several other vehicles and killed 27 people, dpa reported.
The accident on Thursday night in the southern KwaZulu-Natal province was being blamed on faulty brakes on the truck.
The driver, being held at a police station near Durban, lost control of his truck and slammed into four crowded minibuses and a passenger vehicle.
The country\'s transport minister was due to visit the crash site later in the day.
