Peru called on the United Nations to work in order to reach a political solution to the crisis in Syria. Addressing the 68th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations on Wednesday, Peruvian President, Ollanta Humala, called for shouldering the responsibility towards Syria and ensuring international peace and security in addition to finding a negotiated political solution to the crisis in Syria, Syrian Arab News Agency reported. Humala condemned the recent terrorist attack on Westgate commercial center in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, expressing solidarity with the families of the victims and the people of Kenya.
