Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received today a letter from his French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy, the Palestinian News Agency reported without giving any details about its content. It was handed over by French Consul to Jerusalem Frederic Desagneaux during a meeting with the Palestinian President here today. The Palestinian President thanked France for voting in favour of the Palestinian membership in UNESCO as well as its support to the Palestinian issue.He also hailed the French €10 million extra fund for the Palestinian treasury.
