Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met here this evening with the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the region, the stalled peace process because of Israeli intransigence, and the efforts on Palestinian reconciliation.
