An operation carried out by security forces in the Bolan district of southwestern Pakistan\'s Balochistan province killed at least four suspected militants on Monday. According to security officials, Pakistani authorities launched a search operation in the region on a tip-off regarding suspected militants. During the operation the militants opened fire on the security forces and four of them were killed in an exchanges between both parties. The security forces said that they arrested 10 suspected militants from the area reported to be involved in criminal activities. Moreover, 22kgs of explosives, ammunition and other weapons were recovered during the operation. The area has been cordoned off and an additional force was called in the area to further tighten the security grip in and around the location. On Saturday, at least six suspected militants were killed in an operation launched by security forces in the same region. According to local media reports, the operation was carried out after reports on Wednesday that the militants had killed 14 people traveling from Quetta to Lahore city during the Eid holidays.
