Islamabad - QNA
Pakistani security forces killed Saturday 12 armed militants in a clash in the South-West of Pakistan.
The fighting took place in Baluchistan province when the militants attacked border guards, provoking the guards into a response, killing 12 civilians.
Tension between Pakistani security forces and armed militants have been on the rise recently. Earlier this month, security forces killed six militants while sweeping the South-West of Pakistan for militant cells. The attack was in response to a militant attack which killed 14 security personnel. Some two week ago, the Pakistani authorities sealed the Benazir International Airport shut after it received a terror threat.
